The M/V Grand Adventure is a custom built, 50′, 39 ton, Rodriguez boat works built in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. Her keel was laid in 1999 and she was completed in 2000. She was built to be a fishing vessel for a private owner out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and served her owners well for over 17 years.
Captain Matt first laid eyes on her in 2017 when searching for the perfect vessel to fulfill his dream. She was purchased and steamed down from New Jersey in May of 2018 to Norfolk, Virginia. This is where she was hauled out of the water and her three-month re-fit and modernization began. The captain and crew painstakingly made every effort to convert her to the most comfortable and modern dive boat in the Mid-Atlantic. She is equipped with a full galley, mess deck, bunk room, two heads, air conditioning and a wide spacious cock-pit to fulfill your group needs. The deck area is wide, spacious and is covered with a large custom-built canopy, that provides protection from the hot summer sun. This vessel is equipped with the most current and cutting-edge safety equipment including, oxygen for diving operations. Not to exclude an amazing existing electronics package, with some newer and more modern electronics having been added.
