A 5,992 ton tanker 410” long sunk after being torpedoed by the U-754 commanded by Kapitanleutnant Oestermann on April 1, 1942. Except for the point of the bow, and the distinct boilers, there is very little that remains recognizable as a ship. However, the Tiger typically has good conditions and is a popular inshore site, particularly for new divers and students. The site closely resembles that of the Santore since it was also demolished because it was a hazard to navigation. The U-754 was lost with all hands off of Nova Scotia on July 31, 1942 (Va.)
